The Great British Bake Off is back tonight, and it looks like it’s going to be full of drama from the start!
The baking show, which is presented by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, will welcome twelve new amateur bakers tonight to take part in a selection of challenges.
Battling against each other to bake, they’ll be judged by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood who are ready to cast a critical eye over the creations of this year’s contestants.
The bakers are taking on over 30 challenges, each designed to test the bakers’ knowledge, skill and creativity.
The competition begins with cake week, and the group first take on a British classic: The drizzle cake.
However, there’s drama from get go, with some bakers forgetting ingredients while another ends up accidentally slashing themselves with a knife! Oops.
After Paul gives some tough feedback, the group are then faced with Mary’s technical challenge – a popular little cake with a fatless sponge and tricky chocolate work.
Finally, the bakers have the opportunity to show the judges what they can do with the weekly showstopper challenge.
After all that baking, one will be crowned star baker, while one contestant will be leaving the tent for good!
Great British Bake Off 2016 airs Wednesday nights at 8PM on BBC One.
