ITV2 is lining up more holiday fun in the sun with a brand new series of Ibiza Weekender.
The reality show, which has spanned four series’ so far, is returning to Ibiza to join young British holidaymakers having the time of their young lives.
In case you haven’t seen the show before, it focuses on the comings and goings at a single Ibiza hotel.
From check-in to check out, the series follows the fortunes of new groups of guests. A little like Big Brother there’s rigged cameras everywhere, in the rooms, in the bathroom, and it captures all the drama as it unfolds!
But most importantly, there’s new reps, and a new head rep in the shape of Ex On The Beach’s Jordan.
On being head rep, Jordon explained: “The power did go to my head a little bit. I decided to make the most of the situation. I think it worked though – nobody was late for a shift and everybody did exactly as I said.”
He also hopes the new series changes perceptions. “I wanted to show that I’ve grown up a lot in the past year and being Head Rep was my chance to prove that.”
“Only I can be Head Rep now though, because if I came back with one of the other reps in charge of me, after the way I treated them I think I’d be scrubbing toilets with tooth brushes!”
Veteran rep Imogen is also back to confront not just one ex, but two, and with Jordan now in charge, things were certainty different, she revealed.
“Last year, a lot of things were getting on top of me and I kind of fell out of love with the job. I got a bit lost in all the drama. This year it was much easier to just be a rep and love the job..”
She also had to face her ex, Deano this series, and said it was tough. “It was the first time we’d seen each other face to face since we’d split up, so that was hard and I was very, very nervous.”
“I wanted to bury the past and bury the hatchet with anyone I had drama with.”
“I felt like I’d be able to enjoy the experience more if I didn’t have enemies or stress.”
Talking of the ex, Deano himself is back, and ready for some fun in the sun, again…
Body obsessed Deano loves women and working out, and said his funniest moment of the series was when he “made Ellie throw up by blowing snot out my nose.”
“It just happened, and you know when people just say ‘oh, I’m going to be sick’. But no, she actually went to the toilet to be sick! We found it so funny, me and David were just laughing.”
On what he’s most likely to get in trouble for, Deano revealed: “Being late, or being drunk. Or playing with girls emotions… like telling reps that you love them.” Charming!
The newbies also have a lot to say, with Ellie, David and Amelia all joining as new reps.
Well-to-do Amelia is used to the luxuries in life, and her friends came to visit her during the series. She also revealed she’d never be head rep!
“Absolutely not, that wouldn’t be for me. To be honest, I don’t think I’d make as good a head rep as some of the others.”
She also looks to rub Jordan up the wrong way, stating she’s most likely to get in trouble for not following what he asks. “He commands respect, but I just don’t give it to him because it annoys me.”
Also joining is funnyman David, who is larger than life and loves to entertain.
He mostly enjoyed the clubbing, obvs. “I really, really enjoyed going to the super clubs. It was non-stop dancing… it’s the best thing about Ibiza.”
His favourite guests also sound like some good TV viewing. “My favourite guests were a group of girls who loved to twerk. They were like three Nikki Minaj’s that had come on holiday, and I love Nikki Minaj me.”
“They were having a ball – they were dead sassy and fierce. I really like them.”
Lastly, Northern bombshell Ellie has a lust for life and boys. Her funniest moment involved crisps and a table.
“We were doing cheerleading with one of the guests and there was a massive plate of crisps behind me and I fell straight back and sat straight in the guacamole. Imogen had to wipe me bum!”
She also looks to have a bit of a romance with Deano. “Deano is my type because he’s the male version of me.”
“It’s not normal though is it… we’re in Ibiza, me and Deano fancy each other and the ex girlfriend comes along. If I’d known she was coming, I would have put banners up to welcome her! Haha.”
“I thought ‘We’re getting on really well, we’re in a hot country – for once it’s going right’. Imogen looked so good when she turned up, proper skinny. I’d been in the sun all day sweating; she must have thought ‘Wow, he’s downgraded’.”
