This weekend’s live show of Little Mix The Search has been postponed following several positive tests for coronavirus turned up on set, the BBC has announced.
The broadcaster confirmed the show would be delayed by a week after members of the production crew returned positive tests.
“We can confirm that a small number of people on the Little Mix The Search production have tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating following the latest government guidelines,” the broadcaster said in a statement. “Due to the format of the show, we have made the decision to postpone Saturday’s programme.”
The series follows the girl group, Little Mix, as they put together six unique bands to become the next big global stars. So far, the ladies have put together a boyband and a mixed group as well as a vocal group and a mixed vocal and instrument group.
All six bands will face off in the live shows with the winning band joining Little Mix on their next UK tour.
“There are rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount,” the BBC said.
“We hope to be back on air on Saturday 24 October.”
Little Mix The Search airs Saturdays on BBC One.
