Property Brothers star Drew Scott has been confirmed as the first celebrity to hit the ball room for Dancing With The Stars 2017.
The television host is the first celebrity to officially be confirmed for 25th season of the dancing competition.
The announcement was made on “Good Morning America” as it was revealed his pro partner will be last season’s champion Emma Slater.
“I want to make it my duty to get her a second Mirror Ball,” he said. “I’m an athletic guy, I’m a sporty guy and I like taking on a challenge, but I’ve never danced before.”
Emma, who won last season with NFL star Rashad Jennings, says there is one thing that will be challenging for her.
“His height is going to be the most challenging thing,” said Slater. “He’s got these long arms, long legs and there’s about a foot difference between the two of us. So I have to wear my shoes every rehearsal or else my hair whips him in the face.”
Drew is best known as the co-host for the HGTV show “Property Brothers” with his twin brother Jonathon. The pair have hosted the show since 2011 and have their own Scott Brothers Entertainment.
The official cast announcement will come on September 6 on Good Morning America. Other names linked to the series include married couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey and WWE star Nikki Bell.
Dancing With The Stars premieres its 25th season on September 18 on ABC.
