Despite breaching lockdown protocol, Rita Ora is confirmed to return as a judge for the upcoming third series of The Masked Singer.
The 30-year-old pop star has been on the show’s judging panel for the past two series but her future came into doubt after she was missing from the panel for spin-off show The Masked Dancer amid her controversial lockdown breach.
Last year saw Rita make headlines after she broke lockdown restrictions to throw her 30th birthday party at a restaurant in London. Ora later apologised and ITV put Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse in her place on the panel for the spin-off show.
“The key thing everyone just needs to understand is Rita was not available for The Masked Dancer because she was filming in Australia and the thing she does on The Masked Singer is be the voice expert,” show producer Derek McLean told the Daily Star.
“She is the one everyone turns to and says, ‘Do you know who this is?’ and ‘Can you tell who that voice is?’”
The Masked Singer returns to ITV for its third series later this year. Meanwhile, The Masked Dancer is currently airing nightly.
