George Washington High School went into lockdown and paranoia spread in Tuesday’s new episode of Scream.
Following last week’s body drop (literally) that saw Jake’s bloody corpse revealed to Brooke, we saw the aftermath and some are left wondering who to trust.
The biggest question mark of the episode was Ms. Lang. What exactly is she up to? We first see her telling Brooke she is available to talk if needed. Well, she is the psychology teacher after all. After Emma gets into a fight with Haley, the police break it up and send Emma to Ms. Lang’s office.
She left the room and locks the door behind her, leaving Emma inside. Odd, considering the events that are going on. Emma receives a call from the killer and sees him out the window of the office. She finally breaks out of the room by using a chair to shatter the glass.
The episode ended with some big moments that will no doubt effect the rest of the season. First, Sheriff Acosta removes Maggie because she’s ‘too close’ to the investigation as it involves Brooke and Jake. Next, Emma decides to not tell Acosta or Ms. Lang the truth about what happened in the office, instead blaming Lang. Perhaps the biggest moment was Noah stealing Audrey’s phone. Noah had grown suspicious of his best friend the past few weeks and he finally knows why. After several attempts, Noah unlocked Audrey’s phone. He finds the text between Audrey and the killer, including the video of her removing the pins from Jake’s body.
Killer theory: Eli has raised a few eyebrows in recent weeks. Why exactly did he want to dispose of Jake’s phone so quickly? There was an odd mention of his neighbor’s dog ending up dead as well. However, our bet as of now is still Haley as the one behind the mask. She made a comment in the episode ‘every time a killer is loose, a crazy Duval can’t be far behind.’ She seems obsessed with the Lakewood
